Gravostar
the gravostar product line
The Gravostar product line of powered engraving systems is broken into two categories. The products differ in how they are powered. One is driven by the machine's air system, while the other is driven by its coolant system. But one thing never changes - the ability of Gravostar to bring you a great value for reliable product marking.
operating requirements
Gravostar requires just a few instructions for operation and programming in order to make its integration into your process seamless and trouble-free. Most of the important requirements are listed below; however, if you desire a more comprehensive guide, view our Gravostar Operating and Programming PDF.
Tool Holding Fixture
Clamp or sealed jaw-type support, 20 mm diameter
Machine Software
Ability to program the marking at the machine and/or from the programming unit. The movement sequence when operating with Gravostar corresponds to that used when engraving with a chuck-mounted cutting tool. The following exceptions, however, should be taken into account:
Movements to be guaranteed with the tool spindle stationary
- Operation of machining cycle
- Activation of internal tool-cooling system during the operating cycle
Specifications to be taken into account when programming
- Turning speed of tool spindle = 0 (turned off)
- The internal cooling system must be activated if the remaining distance between the tool tip and workpiece is less than 20 mm
- DO NOT activate the external cooling system
- Adoption of the marking position should take place as quickly as possible (in fast mode)
- Note that NO additional cutting-in is programmed
Powered by compressed air
Constant pressure, approx. 2-8 bar
Type HV-20 / H-20
Powered by means of coolant
Internal tool-cooling system, approx. 5-80 bar
Type W-20 / WS-20
Preliminary establishment of effective available pressure for internal cooling system and the type of coolant fluid (emulsion or oil)
