CNC engraving Tool

The Gravostar CNC tool utilizes the dot peen method of marking. This procedure has already been used for several years in stationary needle embossing systems and is a well-known and rapid permanent marking method. Gravostar uses a fast and almost wear-free technology that can be integrated into the machining process to provide major production benefits. Gravostar can be used in the milling centre, automatic lathe or in special applications.

The gravostar is stored in the tool magazine like any other milling tool. The required marking is programmed using a standard engraving program and forms an integral part of the machining program. Workpiece marking is fully automatic as the tool changer will select the gravostar whenever it is required. The main advantage is each part is completely marked whether single parts, small or large batches are manufactured. The Gravostar CNC engraving tool integrates part marking directly into the milling process. Fast marking times obsolete typical engraving tools and reduce tool wear costs. Dot Peen style marking is created by the tip of the Gravostar tool and is powered by the machine's internal coolant or air supply. This enables feed rates of up to 5,000 millimeters per minute with almost completely wear-free running. Integrated height compensation allows for easy set-up with less tolerance for uneven surfaces.

CNC Deburring Tool

The engraflexx EC deburring tool is clamped in the collet like a conventional milling tool and is automatically selected via the automatic tool changer. The milling cutter is directly actuated by the machine spindle to allow the engraflexx EC to be used on any kind of machine tool. The main benefit is the reduced need for any subsequent manual deburring work.

The automatically deflecting tool spindle is a special feature on the engraflexx deburring tool. Workpiece discrepancies are automatically rebounded by the spindle during machine deburring of complex contours; this allows even deburring of all machined edges. This is facilitated by the pre-tensioned Flexo coupling which always pushes the milling cutter into the center position.
